UDP Chairman, El Hadj Lawan Bako Mobilises Faithfuls In The North West

El Hadj Bako’s party will run for municipal and legislative elections in Boyo, Bui Divisions.

Hierarchy of the United Democratic Party, (UDP) has been cris-crossing Boyo Division of the North West Region mobilising supporters towards the September 30, twin elections.

In effect, party leader, El Hadj Lawan Bako has been on song in recent times with a message that inspires supporters to rise to expectation and use the ballot box to check what he describes as the “domineering attitude” of the SDF in Boyo politics.

Party Chairman, El Hadj Lawan Bako is on the field with a message that preaches justice for all as the way forward.  Created in 1992, the UDP is poised this time around to win their first ever municipal councils and parliamentary seats. They are committed to create an impact on the political map of the nation with a message that inspires hope.

At press time, El Hadj Lawan Bako and his team had visited over 15 villages in Boyo Division. He was in Mbingo and Belo on August 11, 2013 where song and dance graced his message.  UDP party lists have been endorsed for municipal elections in Belo, Njinikom, Fundong and Fonfuka etc while their candidates will also be competing for parliamentary seats in the Boyo and Jakiri constituencies. Fointama George and Nyam Winifred Nsangli are carrying the party's parliamentary aspirations in Boyo as substantives.

Governor Adolf Lele Lafrique presided over hitch free May 20 activities in Bamenda.

It was a unity walk, torchlight procession and camp fire 24 hours earlier that set the pace for hitch free May 20 celebrations in Bamenda . The day was early to break for the event with North West Governor, Adolf Lele Lafrique arriving at the ceremonial ground with military precision at 9:30 a.m. for the event that offered a rare moment to honour some illustrious sons and daughters of the country who have made their mark at the service of the nation. Among the privileged few decorated with the Cameroon National Order of Valour, Order of merit, merit of the Public Force, Agricultural Order of merit and the Sports

Signed on November 11, 2012 by Nkwain Lawrence Yong, President of the Kom Cultural and Development Association, it pinpoints on the recent upliftment of El Hadj Lawan Bako, the National Chairman of the United Democratic Party, UDP and Spokesman of the presidential majority as a member of the Board of Directors of the Société Nationale d’Hydrocarbures, SNH.

Channeled through the North West Governor to President Paul Biya, the message reads:

The Kom people of Boyo Division in the North West Region heartily thank  President Paul Biya for a appointing one of thier illustrious sons, El Hadj Lawan Bako as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Hydrocarbon corporation, SNH. This is an indication that the excellency has the people of Boyo division at heart. The promise and are confident that the sons and daughters of Boyo division will never fail  in handling any post of responsibility entrusted into their hands, most especially El Hadj Lawan Bako whom  have been appointed and to whom they congratulate for his intelligence, steadfastness and loyalty”.

It further conveyed a message of appreciation to President Biya for appointing El Hadj Lawan Bako as Board Member of SNH
